Key Qualifications:
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or relevant SLPA credentials required
- Current state licensure for SLPs or SLPAs in Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Collaborative spirit and passion for supporting middle school learners
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students on your caseload
- Conduct assessments and develop or adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to monitor progress and adjust interventions
- Document student progress and maintain thorough, timely records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as a knowledgeable team member
