Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid SLP license for the state of Indiana (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience working within a school environment preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and create effective treatment plans for a diverse caseload
  • Commitment to fostering students’ communication abilities and academic success

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs
  • Provide direct therapy services and document students’ progress toward goals
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student success
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute valuable input on student accommodations/interventions
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Offer resources and strategies to classroom staff for supporting language development
