A speech-language pathologist (SLP) with expertise in childhood communication disorders is sought for a contract position for the 2026-27 school year. This role offers the opportunity to provide speech and language services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade in an educational setting located approximately one hour north of Wilmington, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school policies and regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of supportive communication strategies within the school
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for early-career candidates
- Experience working with pediatric populations in schools or healthcare settings
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders affecting school-aged children
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
This is a contract position offering 39 hours per week during the regular school year. The setting provides a dynamic and supportive environment to foster the communication development of students in grades K through 12.
