School Speech Language Pathologist - Hamtramck, Michigan

This onsite contract opportunity is designed for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) dedicated to supporting student development within a welcoming and diverse elementary setting. With a caseload of 30-40 students, you’ll collaborate closely with teachers and families to help each child achieve their communication goals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist License from the state of Michigan
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Prior experience working as an SLP in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload and perform documentation
• Passion for helping children succeed in and out of the classroom

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students
• Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for a range of communication disorders
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to encourage the best outcomes
• Conduct screenings and evaluations as required
• Deliver services fully onsite and engage with the school community

Contract Details

• Full-time, onsite position: 32.5 hours per week
• Assignment dates: ASAP through June 18, 2027
• Serve a manageable caseload of 30-40 elementary students
