Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Alabama
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows will also be considered
  • Prior experience in a school setting is highly valued
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Effective communication skills with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to organize caseload and complete documentation in a timely manner

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Design and implement individualized therapy for students with varied communication needs
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports
  • Collaborate actively with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to support student goals
  • Offer support, consultation, and training to teachers and staff regarding speech and language concerns
