The assignment entails providing onsite coverage for a maternity leave, working with approximately 50 students ranging from PreK to 4th grade.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) state license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Current educator certification
- Previous experience with school-based SLP services preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to varied student needs in PreK-4th grade
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services in both group and individual settings
- Assess, diagnose, and document speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop tailored treatment plans in alignment with student IEPs and school guidelines
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Monitor, track, and communicate student outcomes effectively
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
Contract Details:
- Full-time, onsite position for approximately 12 weeks
- Assignment dates are from early January through mid-March, with possible adjustments
