School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Hanceville, Alabama

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to make an immediate difference in a PreK–4th grade setting. Enjoy working onsite in a supportive school close to Hanceville, focusing on a diverse caseload of about 50 students during a 12-week maternity leave coverage. This position offers flexibility with consideration for both full-time and part-time candidates.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (for SLPs)
• Valid state SLP license and educator certification required
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) and SLP Assistants (SLPAs) registered with ABESPA are welcome to apply
• Previous experience working in school settings preferred, but not mandatory
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Positive, flexible attitude and comfort working with PreK–4th grade students

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy for students, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation in accordance with district and state standards
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student achievement
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the broader educational environment
• Adapt to student and school needs throughout the assignment
