Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
  • Strong skills in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Ability to collaborate with staff, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management and adaptability within a dynamic educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s goals
  • Provide direct therapy services (individually and in groups) addressing speech, language, and communication difficulties
  • Monitor, document, and report student progress toward IEP goals
  • Collaborate actively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated support for each child
  • Offer resources and guidance to educators and caregivers to promote language development and participation
  • Attend IEP meetings, contribute to progress updates, and fulfill required documentation in a timely manner
