Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
- Strong skills in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders
- Ability to collaborate with staff, administrators, and families to support student success
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management and adaptability within a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s goals
- Provide direct therapy services (individually and in groups) addressing speech, language, and communication difficulties
- Monitor, document, and report student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate actively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated support for each child
- Offer resources and guidance to educators and caregivers to promote language development and participation
- Attend IEP meetings, contribute to progress updates, and fulfill required documentation in a timely manner
