Position Details:
- Two full-time contract openings (maternity leave coverage)
- First position: begins end of September, concludes mid-December
- Second position: tentative start in mid-November, ending early January
- 35 hours per week, onsite engagement
- Work with diverse K-12 caseloads in a supportive school-based environment
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Connecticut SLP license (active)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous school-based SLP experience is a must
- Comfortable working with K-12 students
- SLPAs are not eligible for this position
- Must complete district fingerprinting and background checks
- Upfront presentation of licenses preferred and will expedite compliance
- Ability to participate in Zoom interviews
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students
- Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Serve as a resource on speech and language issues for staff and families
