This full-time contract opportunity offers two immediate maternity leave positions, both supporting a K-12 student population. Position Details:

  • Two full-time contract openings (maternity leave coverage)
    • First position: begins end of September, concludes mid-December
    • Second position: tentative start in mid-November, ending early January
  • 35 hours per week, onsite engagement
  • Work with diverse K-12 caseloads in a supportive school-based environment

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Connecticut SLP license (active)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Previous school-based SLP experience is a must
  • Comfortable working with K-12 students
  • SLPAs are not eligible for this position
  • Must complete district fingerprinting and background checks
  • Upfront presentation of licenses preferred and will expedite compliance
  • Ability to participate in Zoom interviews

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students
  • Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
  • Serve as a resource on speech and language issues for staff and families
