A rewarding full-time contract opportunity is available for two Speech-Language Pathologists looking to make an impact in elementary education. Work onsite with engaging students at elementary grade levels in a supportive environment. With 35 hours per week and two available openings, this position may require travel between two school sites, providing a diverse and enriching professional experience.
Certified SLPs (CCC) are highly encouraged to apply, and applicants who are Clinical Fellows will be considered—with supervision arrangements facilitated, resources permitting. You’ll work closely with students, families, and educational teams to provide assessment, intervention, and support, utilizing your expertise to foster strong communication skills and academic growth.
Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut SLP license required
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) is strongly preferred; CFs accepted if supervision can be arranged
- Minimum of one year of school-based SLP experience
- Elementary experience is valuable
- Comfortable working onsite and able to travel between two school sites if necessary
- Willingness to complete district fingerprinting and background checks
- SLPAs are not eligible for this role
- Upfront completion of licensure and credentialing steps is beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to an assigned K-5 caseload
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
- Travel between two elementary campuses as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district policies
- Participate in team meetings and engage in a dynamic educational environment
- Foster inclusive, effective communication strategies within the school communities
