A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year maternity leave opening in Harvest, AL. This contract position requires a dedicated professional to provide essential speech and language services in an educational setting, supporting students’ communication development from August through October.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and screenings for students to identify areas of need
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote effective communication strategies in the classroom
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress discussions
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification (CCC-SLP) required
- School-based SLP licensure or eligibility preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) available for support during this contract
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Harvest, AL
- Full-time contract (37.5 hours per week)
- Duration: August 2026 through October 2026
