Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a high school low-incidence program. This full-time, full school year assignment is dedicated to empowering students with a wide variety of needs, with a primary focus on functional communication and life skills. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of about 40 students, most of whom require support in functional communication, while still addressing language and articulation needs for a smaller group. All your services are conveniently located within one building, helping you foster deep connections with students and staff alike.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP-CCC certification
- Experience or passion for working with high school students, especially those in low-incidence programs or life skills classrooms
- Strong knowledge of functional communication interventions and augmentative & alternative communication (AAC) is a plus
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and support teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for a varied caseload within a supportive environment
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) targeting functional communication and life skills
- Conduct thorough evaluations, write reports, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate communication goals into daily classroom routines
- Support language and articulation development in a smaller group of students
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights for student success
This rewarding position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 AM–3:00 PM, aligning with the high school’s student day. Flexibility in interviewing—choose onsite or virtual—ensures accessibility for all qualified candidates.
