Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain before starting
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Genuine commitment to supporting children with a variety of speech, language, and communication challenges
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students, focusing on their unique strengths and challenges
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student progress
- Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain effective, detailed documentation
- Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding communication strategies and support
