School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Hayward, California

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• State licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain)
• Prior experience working with elementary-age populations, preferably within a school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for partnering with educators, families, and other specialists
• Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans based on IEP goals
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to elementary students with a variety of communication needs
• Assess and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in accordance with district policies
• Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to develop individualized goals
• Provide consultation and resources to school staff and student families
• Adapt materials and strategies to promote inclusion and maximize student growth
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring confidentiality at all times
