Step into a fulfilling opportunity as a School Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students across PreK to 8th grade for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time contract role focuses on providing high-quality speech and language services, shaping strong communicative foundations for learners. Working across 2-3 school sites in the vibrant Hayward, CA area, you’ll manage a caseload of up to 55 students, collaborating closely with educators and families to foster student success.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active California SLP license or eligibility for CA licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFs considered
  • Experience working with school-aged children, ideally across PreK through 8th grade
  • Proficient in assessment, development, and implementation of IEPs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students PreK-8
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services at up to three site locations
  • Track and document student progress, adapting strategies to evolving needs
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff to support student educational growth
  • Offer guidance to families about resources and strategies for continued development at home
  • Participate in IEP meetings and school-based intervention teams
