Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Hayward, CA

Experience the impact of supporting students’ communication skills throughout a full school year in a high school setting. In this contract opportunity, you will work directly with students, educators, and families to create and deliver effective speech-language interventions. This position welcomes candidates who are either SLP-CCC or SLP-CF certified and is dedicated to those passionate about making a real difference in students’ lives.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active California SLP license or eligibility prior to start
• Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status
• Prior experience working with high school students preferred
• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop IEPs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong commitment to onsite, in-person service delivery (no VOCO/remote work)
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct services and therapy to high school students with speech, language, and communication needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure progress
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, treatment activities, and compliance documentation
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development

This is a full-time role with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule for the entire school year. The hiring process includes two interview rounds—the first virtual, the second in-person—for a thorough, meaningful selection experience.
