A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a school setting located in Hayward, CA. This contract role begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year. The opportunity is ideal for candidates holding certification or credentials such as SLP, SLP-CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year), SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence), or SLP-School certification.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), SLP-CFY, SLP-CCC, or SLP-School credential
  • Experience providing speech and language therapy services in a school environment preferred
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in a pediatric population
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Location:

  • Hayward, California

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aimed at improving communication skills
  • Collaborate with educational staff to support students’ academic and social success
  • Maintain accurate documentation of progress and compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and communication with families regarding student progress

This contract position will not include voice output communication devices (VOCO) responsibilities at this time. Candidates with a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status will receive appropriate mentorship, and certain aspects of the caseload may be adjusted based on clinical needs.
