This contract position spans multiple school sites, serving a diverse caseload of approximately 40 K-5th grade students. With a consistent weekly schedule of 35 to 37.5 hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., you’ll collaborate with educational professionals to deliver comprehensive speech and language services across several campuses.
Qualifications:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellow (CF) status
- Current South Carolina LLR license in Speech-Language Pathology
- South Carolina Educator Certificate required
- Experience with school-based SLP services, ideally at the elementary level
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and provide speech-language therapy to elementary students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Offer support and resources to classroom teachers, adapting materials for inclusive instruction
- Communicate effectively with caregivers and staff to ensure cohesive support for student growth
