Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year! This in-person contract opportunity focuses on making a direct impact in a vibrant educational setting, working with a diverse pediatric caseload. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping students thrive and achieve their fullest potential throughout the school year.
As the dedicated SLP, you’ll be the primary language specialist, replacing virtual SLP coverage with on-site care. Bring your knowledge of pediatric and school-based therapy and collaborate closely with educators, families, and support teams to tailor services to each student’s unique needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in West Virginia
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience with pediatric and/or school-based caseloads
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- SLPA supervision experience is a plus, as well as familiarity with healthcare SLP practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy to K-12 students in-person
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and track student progress
- Provide services aligned with IEP goals and school guidelines
- Collaborate actively with educators, administration, families, and intervention teams
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reports, and multidisciplinary discussions
- Support and offer guidance to SLPA team members as needed
