This position is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist who holds their CCC and has experience within school environments, particularly with medically fragile student populations. You’ll be covering a maternity leave from August 10, 2026, through December 2026, with the possibility (though not guaranteed) of extending through the full academic year.
As part of a collaborative speech team working with another SLP and an SLPA, you’ll focus on serving three medically fragile classrooms. If you’re adept with AAC devices and passionate about making a meaningful difference, this setting offers a fulfilling challenge alongside supportive colleagues.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current CCC-SLP certification
- Valid state licensure for SLP practice in educational settings
- Prior experience in schools, preferably in medically fragile or special needs settings
- Strong knowledge and hands-on expertise with AAC devices
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Daily Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students across medically fragile classrooms
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to diverse student needs
- Collaborate proactively with the fellow SLP, SLPA, educators, and support staff
- Document progress and maintain clear, compliant records for each student
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to family outreach, and serve as a resource for AAC device usage
