Skills and Experience Sought:
- Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license (required)
- CCC-SLP credentials
- Recent school-based SLP work preferred
- Ability to supervise an SLPA if needed and willingness to mentor less-experienced colleagues
- Proficient with assistive listening devices and technology integration for student communication
- Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, and genuine passion for student progress
- Not accepting virtual or remote (Voco SLP) candidates for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative speech-language services for students, using the latest evidence-based practices
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to promote communication goals across school settings
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and local regulations
- Act as a resource for staff and families regarding use of assistive listening devices
- Supervise and support an SLPA when applicable, fostering professional development
