Skills and Experience Sought:

  • Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license (required)
  • CCC-SLP credentials
  • Recent school-based SLP work preferred
  • Ability to supervise an SLPA if needed and willingness to mentor less-experienced colleagues
  • Proficient with assistive listening devices and technology integration for student communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, and genuine passion for student progress
  • Not accepting virtual or remote (Voco SLP) candidates for this position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative speech-language services for students, using the latest evidence-based practices
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to promote communication goals across school settings
  • Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and local regulations
  • Act as a resource for staff and families regarding use of assistive listening devices
  • Supervise and support an SLPA when applicable, fostering professional development
