Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP license valid in Virginia, or eligibility to obtain
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Successful completion of school-based or pediatric clinical experience
  • Solid understanding of IEPs, special education process, and documentation requirements
  • Able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEPs
  • Screen, evaluate, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
  • Complete timely documentation, progress reports, and compliance paperwork
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
  • Offer consultative support to classroom staff for integrating communication strategies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
