Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license valid in Virginia, or eligibility to obtain
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Successful completion of school-based or pediatric clinical experience
- Solid understanding of IEPs, special education process, and documentation requirements
- Able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEPs
- Screen, evaluate, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
- Complete timely documentation, progress reports, and compliance paperwork
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Offer consultative support to classroom staff for integrating communication strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
