Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as an SLP
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Familiarity with school-based services, including IEP documentation and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience addressing diverse speech and language needs across elementary, middle, and high school populations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings and comprehensive assessments
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families for integrated therapy approaches
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment, and progress reports
  • Provide consultation and training to staff and caregivers regarding speech-language interventions
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding school-based SLP services
