Speech Language Pathologist in Henrico, VA

Step into a dynamic role supporting students for the upcoming 26/27 school year as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This opportunity provides you the chance to work with a diverse K-12 student population and be a key contributor to their communication growth and educational success.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and develop personalized intervention plans for students with a range of speech and language needs. With a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll be able to offer consistency and dedicated guidance across mixed caseloads, helping students achieve meaningful milestones throughout the school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and current Speech-Language Pathologist license (Virginia or eligible to obtain)
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or CFY status considered
• Prior school-based experience preferred, but open to passionate SLPs new to this setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) collaboratively

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ communication abilities using formal and informal assessments
• Develop and implement targeted therapy strategies for a diverse, mixed K-12 caseload
• Work closely with teachers, families, and specialists to support student progress
• Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
• Provide education and support to school staff and parents regarding speech and language development
