Key Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Prior experience providing speech therapy in a school or pediatric setting, especially with elementary-aged students
  • Strong understanding of child development, IEPs, and evidence-based intervention methodologies
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet students’ unique needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in elementary school students
  • Develop individualized therapy plans in collaboration with teachers and special education staff
  • Maintain timely, detailed documentation as required by school policies and state/federal guidelines
  • Conduct screenings and assessments, writing clear and actionable reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
  • Communicate progress and recommendations effectively to parents, educators, and administrators
  • Provide direct therapy, consultation, and support for generalization of skills in classroom environments
