An exciting opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide maternity leave coverage from April 15 to June 11 in a dynamic school setting located in Higganum, CT. This full-time (1.0 FTE) contract position supports students in 4th through 8th grades across two schools, serving both intermediate (4th-5th grades) and middle school (6th-8th grades) populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services tailored to students’ individual needs.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement effective communication strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school guidelines.
- Participate in assessments to identify students’ speech and language abilities.
- Provide teletherapy services as necessary, adapting to the needs of the students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required.
- Experience working in school settings, ideally with 4th-8th grade students.
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion or equivalent pediatric experience.
- Comfort with teletherapy service delivery is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within interdisciplinary teams.
