Apply NowThis contract role offers an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a high school setting with a manageable caseload. The position is designed for approximately 8 hours per week, providing a balanced work schedule within the academic year from August 31, 2026, to June 14, 2027. This part-time role is ideal for an SLP who specializes in school-based services, including those with certification (CCC), healthcare, pediatrics, teletherapy experience, and clinical fellowship year (CFY) professionals.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC preferred
- Experience working in school environments with a high school caseload
- Familiarity with pediatric and healthcare speech-language therapy
- Teletherapy skills and experience are a strong asset
- Eligible or currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) accepted
- Ability to manage approximately 8 hours per week effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working within educational teams
Location:
- Higganum, Connecticut, serving a public school community
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and therapy for high school students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Utilize teletherapy platforms as needed to meet student needs
