Grades 9 - 12 Certified School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Higganum, Connecticut

This part-time opportunity allows you to focus on serving a high school caseload, supporting students’ growth and academic success across grades 6-12. You’ll collaborate with dedicated educational professionals in a welcoming school community located near Higganum, CT. This contract position runs from August 31, 2026, through June 14, 2027, providing stability and the chance to see your students’ progress across a complete academic year.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Connecticut SLP Certification required
• Experience with school-age populations (grades K-12), with a focus on high school students strongly preferred
• Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable collaborating with school staff, families, and other service providers

Responsibilities:

• Manage a high school speech-language caseload, providing direct and consult services
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and document progress toward student goals
• Maintain accurate and compliant paperwork
• Serve as a resource for teachers and parents regarding communication disorders
