You’ll collaborate with dedicated educational professionals in a welcoming school community located near Higganum, CT. This contract position runs from August 31, 2026, through June 14, 2027, providing stability and the chance to see your students’ progress across a complete academic year.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Connecticut SLP Certification required
- Experience with school-age populations (grades K-12), with a focus on high school students strongly preferred
- Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable collaborating with school staff, families, and other service providers
Responsibilities:
- Manage a high school speech-language caseload, providing direct and consult services
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and document progress toward student goals
- Maintain accurate and compliant paperwork
- Serve as a resource for teachers and parents regarding communication disorders
