Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Higginsville, Missouri

Step into an impactful role supporting early childhood students for a maternity leave assignment beginning mid-March and continuing through the end of the school year. This opportunity is perfect for skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologists (CFY or CCC) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants seeking valuable school-based experience in a supportive educational environment.

In this contract position, you’ll collaborate with an onsite SLPA, provide essential speech and language services, and contribute to an engaging, student-centered atmosphere. You'll work four days per week, with a possible half day on Wednesday, enjoying manageable 6.5-hour workdays.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Active state licensure (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA)
• Experience in pediatric or school-based settings
• Knowledge of IEPs, goal-writing, and data collection
• Comfort supervising or collaborating with an SLPA, if applicable
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Familiarity with early childhood populations highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy to a caseload of approximately 32 early childhood students
• Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with educational teams and families
• Maintain accurate session documentation and progress reporting
• Work alongside the onsite SLPA, providing supervision as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and care coordination
