Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity in speech-language pathology within a supportive district setting, working in the East or Southern region of Davidson County. This position offers the chance to positively impact students' communication skills and promote their academic success. Multiple full-time openings are available for the upcoming school year, starting August 12, 2026, and ending June 11, 2027. Both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply, as district supervision is readily available. Please note, SLPA roles are not available at this time.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current SLP license issued by the state of North Carolina (NC)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but SLP-CFs considered with supervisory support from district staff
  • Previous experience in school settings is advantageous
  • Comfort and proficiency working with student populations diagnosed with Autism (AU) and/or low cognitive disabilities is highly desired
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language services to a diverse caseload of up to 35 students
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
  • Provide direct and consultative services as determined by student needs and IEPs
  • Maintain thorough documentation and participate in regular meetings to support student progress
  • Adapt interventions based on individual student goals and district guidelines
