An exciting in-person opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to support young children through a vital leave coverage. Beginning in mid-August and continuing through January, with potential to extend through June, this rewarding contract position focuses on serving children ages 3–5 in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). You’ll make a daily impact by delivering services in both home environments and community preschool settings, primarily throughout East Multnomah County.

Your expertise will foster communication development and help create positive early learning experiences for children during these formative years.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid state licensure appropriate for practice in Oregon, or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience or strong interest working with early childhood populations (ages 3–5)
  • Ability to collaborate with families, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement effective IEPs
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation to travel between community sites and homes as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic speech and language evaluations and therapeutic intervention for eligible children
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child’s unique communication needs
  • Partner with families and community preschool teams to ensure consistent support and carryover of strategies
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all required program guidelines
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute expertise as an SLP
