Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Hitchcock, Texas

Key Qualifications:

• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Experience or training in pediatric and school settings
• Knowledge of early intervention strategies for children with varying needs
• Experience with SLP teletherapy platforms a plus
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Eligibility for state licensure as required for school-based practice
• Consideration also given to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates interested in the school/healthcare setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, communication, or swallowing disorders
• Deliver early intervention services for children in a school-based setting (caseload focused on early intervention, ages 0-12)
• Provide both in-person and teletherapy services as needed
• Document progress and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators
• Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional input and progress updates
• Stay current on best practices and professional standards in pediatric speech-language therapy
