Exciting full-time contract opportunities are available for speech-language pathologists eager to make a difference in K-12 education. Professionals will work in a dynamic school setting near Hixson, TN, supporting the communication needs of students—primarily within the elementary age group—though finalized caseload and school assignments will be determined closer to the start of the school year.

You’ll collaborate closely with school staff, therapists, and administrators to provide quality interventions and foster positive student outcomes. The contract runs from August 5, 2026, through May 19, 2027, offering a consistent 35-hour work week across one or more school sites, depending on assignment needs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and active speech-language pathology license required
  • Valid DOE certification as a school-based SLP
  • Previous experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Expertise working with elementary-aged students beneficial
  • Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Must complete fingerprinting and pass background checks in accordance with school district policy
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for assigned students
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Participate in student IEP meetings and maintain timely documentation
  • Work with teachers, families, and school administrators to advance student progress
  • Travel between campuses if required by caseload assignments
