This is a full-time, contract role based close to Holland and Arcade, NY, with an engaging 8:30am–3:30pm weekday schedule alongside a collaborative onsite speech team.
Professionals holding SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) credentials—including candidates with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status or Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)—are encouraged to apply. Those seeking CFY supervision may be eligible for guidance from experienced practitioners on site, making this an excellent setting to grow and learn.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- New York State SLP license (or eligibility)
- SLP-CCC or CFY candidates welcomed; supervision possible for the right fit
- Previous school-based experience is preferred, but not required
- Enthusiastic about collaborating with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech/language therapy services to school-age students
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and document progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and participate in student support/IEP meetings
- Maintain thorough, compliant records in alignment with school and state regulations
- Engage actively in professional development and team meetings
