Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Houghton Lake, MI

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving PreK-12th grade students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This engaging position spans from August 24th through June 11th and offers a consistent 35-hour work week. You will support a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, making a meaningful impact on communication skills vital for their academic and personal growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
• Valid SLP licensure in Michigan (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY candidates welcome
• Experience or strong interest in working with PreK through 12th grade students
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with school-based IEP processes and documentation preferred

Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and diagnostics for students with speech, language, or communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student
• Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services across the PreK-12 spectrum
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and ongoing professional development
