Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Houston, TX

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Active Texas licensure or eligibility for licensure
• ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
• Previous experience in a school setting is advantageous
• Familiarity with AAC devices
• In-depth understanding of IEP processes

Preferred Experience:

• Comfortable supporting both full-time and part-time schedules
• Background in pediatric and school settings is beneficial
• Teletherapy and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience welcomed
• Experience collaborating with SLPAs and other allied health professionals

Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose a range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Work closely with caregivers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote student success
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for all services provided
