Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Houston, Texas

What You’ll Need:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Texas licensure or eligibility for licensure
• ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Previous school-based experience is an advantage
• Familiarity with AAC devices
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and diagnose a range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in school-aged children
• Develop individualized and data-driven treatment plans, structured for each student’s needs
• Partner with caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary specialists including SLPAs, PTs, and OTs for comprehensive support
• Document progress and manage accurate student records in compliance with school and district requirements
• Stay up to date with best practices and current interventions in pediatric and school-based speech-language therapy
