A contract Speech-Language Pathologist position is available near the Houston, TX area, offering the opportunity to work with a supportive educational community. The focus in this role is to assess and treat students with a variety of speech, language, and communication challenges, ensuring every student has the resources to succeed.
Preferred applicants are bilingual and bring expertise with both traditional onsite and teletherapy settings. Whether you hold your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or are a Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidate, your skills will be valued and supported.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- CCC-SLP preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Experience or familiarity with school-based therapy services
- Teletherapy experience a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate within an educational team and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct and virtual speech-language therapy services as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and relevant staff trainings
