Speech Language Pathologist in Houston, TX

Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary and middle school students through a district that values a balanced workload approach. This is a unique opportunity to work across 2-3 schools, while being based primarily at the central office, fostering a strong sense of collaboration with peers. You’ll serve on the west and northwest side of the district, providing vital services to young learners.

Your skills as a certified SLP, especially with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and experience in school settings, will help foster student communication and success. You’ll benefit from a supportive environment, the chance to supervise SLPA staff, and receive flexibility with one remote workday per week. This full-time, contract position is available immediately through late May of 2027.

What you’ll bring:

• Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Experience working in K-12 school settings (preferred with elementary & middle school)
• Familiarity with workload models for SLP service delivery
• Ability to supervise, coach, and mentor SLPA(s)
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Role responsibilities:

• Provide assessments, direct and consultative speech-language therapy for elementary & middle school students
• Manage therapy schedules across multiple schools, collaborating with on-site teams
• Counsel and train teachers, staff, and families as needed
• Complete necessary documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Oversee day-to-day activities and professional growth of SLPA team member(s)
