1st Grade 6th Grade Speech Language Pathologist in Houston, TX

We're seeking six enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide crucial in-person services for K-12 students in a vibrant, supportive educational setting. As the current SLP transitions into retirement, there’s an immediate need to continue and grow a high-quality program for students who rely on your expertise.

Openings are available for Elementary, Middle, and High School placements, and you’ll be matched based on experience and preference. In this contract role for the 2026-2027 school year, you'll manage a manageable caseload, with targets set between 50-60 students. Your contributions will ensure students from 1st through 12th grade receive the individualized support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and required state licensure.
• Experience or strong interest in working with K-12 populations (1st-12th grade).
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Flexibility to support a diverse student caseload and adjust to various grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in-person, adapting methods for different age groups.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain detailed documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide insights for best student outcomes.
• Offer guidance and training to staff and families to support student goals.

Schedules vary by grade level, with elementary hours from 7:30-4:00, middle school 7:45-4:00, and high school 8:30-4:00.
