School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Houston, Texas

Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current state licensure (or eligibility to obtain) as an SLP
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are welcome to apply
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
• Strong assessment, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
• Commitment to culturally competent, inclusive practices
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with students’ IEP goals
• Provide direct therapy services to students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs
• Track progress, document sessions, and prepare detailed reports in compliance with district and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers to support students’ educational outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings, staffings, and relevant professional development opportunities
• Educate and support families on communication strategies for home use
