Your background in school-based SLP practices ensures you have the tools to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and students. You’ll conduct assessments, develop and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and provide both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to meet each student’s unique needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for clinical fellowship (CF)
- Experience in school settings highly valued
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students for speech, language, or communication disorders
- Design and implement personalized therapy plans
- Document all interventions and maintain detailed records in compliance with school and federal policies
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations for each student’s educational needs
