A full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the full school year in a K-12 school setting located in Howland, ME. This contract role involves providing comprehensive speech-language services, including evaluations, meetings, and direct therapy for approximately 20 students. The position supports students with diverse communication needs across the academic spectrum.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting speech-language evaluations to identify student needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
  • Participating in team meetings and collaborating with educators and families
  • Delivering direct services to students to improve communication skills
  • Utilizing VOCO communication devices as part of therapy interventions

Qualifications:

  • Current SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) licensure or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate
  • Experience working with K-12 school-aged children
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment and therapy planning
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
  • Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication tools, including VOCO, is preferred
