School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Howland, Maine

Step into a pivotal role supporting students' communication skills in a dynamic educational setting as a Speech Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity invites both full-time and part-time professionals ready to contribute their expertise throughout the full school year. You'll serve approximately 20 students, providing vital evaluations, participating in IEP meetings, and delivering high-quality speech and language services.

This position welcomes applicants with a range of experience, including those with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates. In addition to on-site responsibilities, there’s an exciting opportunity to engage in VOCO (virtual/online communication) services, expanding your skills and reaching students in innovative ways.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state license (or eligibility for licensure)
• SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY considered
• School or pediatric experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Comfortable or interested in virtual service delivery (VOCO)
• Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

Core Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to identify speech, language, and communication needs
• Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with the educational team
• Provide direct therapy services, both in-person and via VOCO
• Document progress and maintain accurate records
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and recommendations
• Communicate with teachers, staff, and families regarding student progress
