This contract opportunity is available immediately through June 11, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 39 hours per week. You'll focus exclusively on a single elementary school, supporting children in grades K-5 with a manageable caseload of approximately 45 students. The setting is situated just an hour north of Wilmington, NC, offering a convenient commute and the chance to work closely with a collaborative school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Active North Carolina SLP license (or eligibility)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
  • Experience providing speech and language therapy within pediatric and/or elementary school settings preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to K-5th grade students in accordance with IEPs
  • Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting student-specific goals
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, contribute to IEP meetings, and provide parent education as needed
  • Support students' social communication and academic success across a variety of classroom settings
