Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-5 students in a center-based program focused on individuals with intellectual disabilities. This engaging role allows you to make a meaningful impact by working closely with students, many of whom utilize communication devices, to help them thrive in their educational journey. You’ll work onsite five days a week, collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and specialist professionals.

Desired Background and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure and certification to practice as an SLP in school settings
  • Previous experience serving K-5 or school-aged children, especially those with intellectual disabilities
  • Ability to assess, develop, and implement treatment plans tailored to individual student needs, including those using speech-generating devices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective participation in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to inclusive and personalized education within a center-based program

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students as required
  • Collaborate in developing and reviewing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct therapy and support, as well as consultative/indirect services in accordance with IEPs
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable input for student progress and planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports as needed for compliance and progress monitoring
  • Flexible approach to caseload, which will be determined during the interview process
