Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active speech-language pathology license for schools
  • Experience in K-5 educational settings, preferably with students with intellectual disabilities
  • Familiarity with AAC and other assistive technology for communication
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities, especially during IEP meetings
  • Comfortable working on a contract basis, five days per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Deliver both direct and indirect speech-language services as defined in each student's IEP
  • Adapt interventions for students using communication devices or other adaptive tools
  • Maintain detailed, confidential progress notes and documentation
  • Adjust services and supports based on student needs and caseload (to be finalized during interviews)
