Step into a rewarding opportunity near the coast! We’re seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a short-term contract assignment covering a leave of absence from May 26 to June 17. This full-time role focuses on providing exceptional services to preschool-aged children, conducting assessments, and making a real difference during a key period in their development.

In this assignment, you’ll collaborate with a supportive team in an energetic, school-based environment. Your expertise will contribute directly to student success and ensure continuity of care for young learners.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active state licensure and credential to practice as an SLP in California
  • Recent experience in a school setting, with a strong preference for preschool or early intervention
  • Skilled in conducting evaluations and creating individualized recommendations for preschool students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for working with families and multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive speech and language assessments for preschoolers as part of the special education process
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to share assessment results and strategies
  • Prepare reports and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as needed
  • Provide recommendations and resources for continued support throughout the LOA coverage
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation according to district and legal guidelines
