This school-based role begins August 13, 2026, and continues through June 3, 2027, offering consistent full-time hours within a supportive setting.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible SLP license for practice in Maryland
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience or enthusiasm for working with K-12 student populations in a school setting
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, educators, and caregivers
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and intervention services to K-12 students, tailored to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities, documenting progress and results
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure each student’s unique needs are met
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise to intervention planning, and maintain accurate records
- Educate and advise families and staff on communication development and strategies for classroom and home use
