Speech Language Pathologist in Huntingtown, MD

Ideal Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current or eligible SLP license for practice in Maryland
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Experience or enthusiasm for working with K-12 student populations in a school setting
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, educators, and caregivers

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy and intervention services to K-12 students, tailored to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities, documenting progress and results
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure each student’s unique needs are met
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise to intervention planning, and maintain accurate records
• Educate and advise families and staff on communication development and strategies for classroom and home use
