Make a lasting impact on students’ lives while collaborating with a supportive educational team near Hurlock, MD. Take on an engaging, fulfilling contract role as a speech-language pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year, working primarily with K-12 students across multiple school sites.

In this position, you’ll focus on filling immediate spot-need caseloads, including serving high schoolers in a self-contained classroom with moderate to severe needs as well as providing itinerant services throughout the district. You’ll enjoy a consistent 37.5-hour workweek with all work performed onsite during the academic year.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current, active Maryland SLP license (required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in Maryland schools strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with K-12 student populations, including special education
  • Ability to support a variety of student needs, including moderate to severe disabilities
  • Flexibility to work across multiple school locations

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for K-12 students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and district staff to support student success
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with school and federal/state requirements
  • Adapt service approaches to serve both self-contained and itinerant settings effectively
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting
