Step into an engaging contract opportunity focused on supporting students’ communication and language development in a school-based setting. This position is based in the vibrant Rockville/Washington DC area, with assignments across up to three nearby schools. The contract term runs from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027, making it an ideal fit for those seeking the stability of a full school year assignment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid and active Maryland SLP licensure (must provide images of credentials upon request)
  • CCC-SLP preferred; strong CFYs also welcomed (supervision provided for interview and onboarding)
  • At least one year of school-based experience, or exceptional alternative references/experience
  • Capacity to work up to 35 hours per week preferred; part-time requires a firm commitment of at least 3 days weekly
  • Flexibility to travel between two to three assigned schools, with schedule customized per candidate preference and skillset
  • Capability to manage caseloads ranging from 40–48 students (up to 57 at peak, numbers lower at start of year), serving various age groups from elementary through middle school

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy and support services to assigned caseload
  • Conduct speech/language assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with staff and families
  • Travel between assignments as needed (typically 4 days at one location, 1 day at another)
  • Comply with all credentialing requirements, including timely completion of House Bill background check
