Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Hyattsville, MD

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Hold an active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Obtain (or be eligible for) Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Certification
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, with an eagerness to partner with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive educational environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
• Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
• Deliver both direct and consultative speech-language therapy tailored to each student’s unique requirements
• Work closely with teachers, families, and the IEP team to promote student success and progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports in accordance with school and district guidelines
